Hire Agreement & Bond Terms

The terms that apply to every hire booking with Mazie & Co., including bond, care of items, and collection or delivery.

Hire Agreement

This Hire Agreement applies to all items hired from Mazie & Co. and forms part of our Terms & Conditions. By confirming a hire booking, you ("the Hirer") agree to the terms below.

• All hire items remain the property of Mazie & Co. at all times and must be returned in the condition they were received
• Hire pricing is charged per event, not per day
• A refundable bond applies to every hire booking

Bond & Payment

• A refundable bond is charged at the time of booking, in addition to the hire fee
• The bond amount is specific to each item and is confirmed at the time of quote
• The bond is refunded after the item is returned or collected, inspected, and confirmed to be undamaged and complete
• Full payment of the hire fee and bond is required to confirm your booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing

Collection, Delivery & Pickup

Free pickup : Truganina VIC 3029, by appointment
Hire delivery & collection : Available by quote, from $100 within Victoria depending on distance and booking size
Setup & pack down : Available by quote — see individual product pages for indicative rates

It's the Hirer's responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive delivery and return items at the agreed times. Late collection or return may incur additional hire charges.

Care & Use of Hire Items

• Hire items must be kept dry and undercover at all times unless a specific item is confirmed suitable for outdoor use in writing
• Items must be used safely, on stable, level ground, and not modified, painted or altered in any way
• The Hirer is responsible for the item from the time of collection or delivery until it is returned or collected
• Children should be supervised around all hire pieces at all times

Damage, Loss & Bond Forfeiture

• Any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required beyond normal wear may result in part or full forfeiture of the bond
• Where damage or loss exceeds the bond amount, the Hirer agrees to cover the additional repair or replacement cost
• Items should be returned in the same condition and configuration as received

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Cancellations made with reasonable notice before the event date may be eligible for a refund or credit, less any costs already incurred
• Cancellations made close to the event date may not be eligible for a refund, as the booking has reserved the item exclusively for you
• Rescheduling is subject to availability and should be requested as early as possible
